There will be no Wednesday evening service this week. Good Friday service will be held at 7:30 on Friday evening.

The care center singing that is usually held on the first Friday of the month will be on Tuesday the 7th at 6:30 at the Klein Center due to Good Friday service.

We are thankful for our convert Madelyn Lanz. After experiencing repentance and conversion she feels at peace with God and man. We now have the opportunity as a church to bring encouragement or any concerns we may have, as she awaits baptism.

The Wapello Mobile Food Pantry is this Wednesday. Time to be announced.

I plan to give an update from the elder conference this Wednesday evening . All are welcome.

Communion is scheduled for this Saturday evening at 7:30. Bro. Ben Wiegand from Malvern, PA plans to be with us for the weekend.

Please check the lost and found tables in the fellowship area and take home anything that belongs to you. There are glass reception trays and cleaning products that are free for anyone to take. Thank you to all that helped with cleaning on Tuesday!

The monthly Fellowship Center singing that was scheduled for tonight has been cancelled.

The annual church cleaning is tomorrow from 1:00 pm until finished. Supper will be served at church from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm for all workers. Please bring stepladders, vacuum cleaners, and heavy extension cords. We appreciate your help with this project!

Burlington Communion is scheduled for this Saturday evening at 7:30. Mediapolis Communion is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at 7:30.

There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for those that are willing to host overnight guests on the weekend of May 30-31 for the AC Western Fellowship tour.

This is a reminder for brothers to sign up for the small group men’s Bible studies if they are interested. Use this sign-up Link or the one sent last week. Please sign up by Monday, March 23, if you are interested.

Fellowship Center cleaning will be held tomorrow evening at 6:30 until completed.

HarvestCall sewing is this Tuesday at 10 AM at the church.

Everyone is invited to the 7:00 singing at the Fellowship Center this Saturday evening for the Invite-a-guest weekend. Because of this singing the regular monthly singing that was scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled.

We will be hosting the AC Western Fellowship tour on the weekend of May 30-31. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for those that are willing to host overnight guests.

ACCFS will be hosting its 2026 Discipleship Conference on April 18th in Bloomington, IL. This year's theme, Discipleship Across the Lifespan, is focused on helping attendees consider various stages and seasons of discipleship we can find ourselves in throughout our lives. We look forward to a time of learning, encouragement, and fellowship.

The collection for this month is to replenish the elder / minister travel fund. This fund is used to reimburse travel expenses for visiting elders that come to help with special events and local ministers that serve on national rotations. Please give your contributions to Sis. Note of thanks : We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and ask for continued prayers as the side effects from the chemo are very uncomfortable. We would like everyone to rejoice with us as the last two tests showed that the cancer was gone!

The Wapello Mobile Food Pantry is this Wednesday. Time to be announced.

The invite-a-guest sign-up sheet (along with the current working and inviting group lists) is posted on the men's bulletin board. Please sign up with the number of your family and your guest’s family that will be attending. Those who are in the working group should also sign the sheet with the number attending from their families. This will be taken down after church on Sunday, March 1st . If you forget or are unable to sign the sheet by then, please contact Sis. Lois Massner with your information. We hope to have food assignments sent out the first week of March.

The monthly Fellowship Center singing is this evening at 6:30. We will alternate between the 2 Hymn books for the next 6 months instead of splitting each singing as we have the last 6 months. Tonight we will be using the Hymns of Worship.

The vote of support concerning changing Fellowship Center Singing start time to 6:30 year round received near unanimous support.

Testimonies this Saturday begin at 6:15.

I plan to use the afternoon service on March 8 for a communion exhortation.

The February collection is for ACCFS. As a congregation we are targeting around $20,000 for this collection. Contributions can be given to Bro. Jerry Wagenbach or placed in the special collection box.

HarvestCall sewing is this Tuesday at 10 am at church.

New HarvestCall missionary booklets are available for those who would like one at the bulletin board.

The surveys concerning use of the old Fellowship Center are due today. Anyone that would like to submit one and has not, should do so.

Reminder: The all Church Men’s Bible Study surveys are due tomorrow. All men were requested to fill one out whether planning to participate or not.

The February collection is for ACCFS (Apostolic Christian Counseling and Family Services). Only 23% of the ACCFS operating expense is met by billed services. This means they rely heavily on contributions to provide their services. As a congregation we are targeting around $20,000 for this collection. Contributions can be given to Bro. Jerry Wagenbach or placed in the special collection box.

The Burlington singing scheduled for this evening has been cancelled.

Wapello Mobile Food Pantry is this Wednesday. Time will be announced later this week.

Testimonies and baptisms are scheduled for the weekend of Feb 21-22. Grace Schmidgall, Gideon Goodpaster, Larae Schulz and Elsa Schmidgall plan to share their testimonies starting at 6:15 Saturday evening . Elder Brothers Lynn Fiechter (Bluffton, IN) and Todd Graf (Akron, OH) plan to be here and will be helping that weekend.

Communion is scheduled for March 28 starting at 7:30. Elder Bro. Ben Wiegand (Malvern, PA) plans to be with us for the weekend.

Dave Lanz plans to be on a family vacation from tomorrow through Feb 4. His availability for communication will be limited or delayed during that time.

We would like to make known the engagement of Sis. Tyra Lanz to Bro. Connor Hany from Ellington, CT. Connor’s parents are Bro. Paul and Sis. Betsy. Tyra’s parents are Bro. Dave and Sis. Tami. We wish them God's rich blessing as they anticipate marriage. A June 14 wedding is planned.

New Year’s Eve service will be this Wednesday at 7:00 . Note: this is a half hour earlier than our regular Wednesday evening start time.

This Saturday evening at 7:00 is the wedding singing for Sis. Ellie Lanz and Bro. Neil Frank. The wedding is Sunday afternoon followed by a reception from 2:30 - 4:30 at the Fellowship Center. All are invited.

The monthly Fellowship Center potluck and singing committees for 2026 have been sent out via email and are available on the bulletin board.

There has been interest in changing the regular start time for the Fellowship Center monthly singings . A survey was sent to members this past week via email to gauge the interest in this. Please fill out the form by Jan 4th. A vote of support for the preferred time is planned at the business meeting. If any member did not receive a link or prefers to give feedback in person contact Bro. Mitch Schulz.

Reminder: We have been holding regular meetings with men and women at the Jail and Halfway House for 6 years now. Many of them express appreciation to our church for taking the time to encourage them at a time when they are down in life. It is time to make the schedule for next year, so we would like to extend an invitation to others in the church to join in this ministry. This Wednesday evening will be a shortened service with a 20-30 minute member meeting to follow.

The RCF residents and staff want to thank everyone who came to sing to them on Friday night! It was such a great turnout and they appreciated the beautiful singing! They also appreciate all the goodies people bring throughout the year after church lunches!

The Community Christmas Hymn Sing is this Saturday, December 13th. Please arrive at 4:45 so we can begin singing at 5 pm. You can bring goodies to the kitchen when you arrive. Food assignments can be dropped off at church any time this week, but no later than 10 AM on Saturday. Please remember to complete any sign-ups by the end of church today.

The Sunday School Christmas Program is next Sunday, December 14th at 7:00pm. Please have your children in their Sunday School rooms at 6:30.

There is a need to replenish the HarvestCall European Church Building Fund . Over the past several years, numerous requests for repairs to aging facilities have consumed the existing fund. The Balingen and Briedenbach Germany congregations both need larger church buildings due to Ukrainian refugees and additional brethren from other impoverished countries that have settled in Germany. This has created a need to replenish this fund. If you feel moved to support this work, donations may be made through the HarvestCall website or by check made out to “Apostolic Christian Church” with European Building Fund in the memo given to Bro.Ryan Frank.

HarvestCall sewing is this Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

The money collected in Sunday School for the months of November and December will be used for buying Christmas gifts for local needy families. This year we will be buying gifts for two families from Mediapolis - a single mother with two kids and a single father with two kids. In the past few years, we have collected around $1000 each year. This year we'd like to target around $2000, as we will also be providing food items, toiletries, and household items along with the gifts. Thank you!

Volunteers Needed: HarvestCall’s next large-scale Rebuilding Ministry project will be in Acadia Parish Louisiana. Acadia Parish in southern Louisiana experienced excessive rainfall in 2025, causing significant damage to houses, some still waiting for help after Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020. They are in need of our help to repair and rebuild their homes and lives. HarvestCall will be helping underserved people who suffered loss and are unable to recover on their own. While construction is the obvious activity of this ministry, the primary goal is to share the love of Christ and proclaim the Gospel.

• Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 11, 2026 and continuing through March 27, 2026. If you find that the weeks are full, put your name on the waitlist so we know that you would like to help.

• Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share the Gospel with those we serve.

• Online registration is required for all volunteers and opens at noon Central time on Wednesday, November 19th at www.harvestcall.org

Having the all church Christmas caroling at church last year received good feedback and support. We plan to continue this going forward. This year we are making an open invitation to the community to join us for a “Community Christmas Hymn Sing” instead of limiting to invitations like last year. Invitations will be hung at some local businesses and also shared electronically, but feel free to personally invite those that you know would like to come. The date is December 13th at 4:45 with singing beginning promptly at 5:00. An email with more detailed information concerning signing up to help and bring food will be coming out in the near future.

It is time to compile the all-church rotating potluck list for 2026. An email with details was sent this past week. If you would like to be included in 2026 or have questions please contact Sis. Renee Schulz by Nov 30.

Save the date: Mediapolis communion is set for March 28. Burlington communion is scheduled for March 21.

This month's collection is for the Servant Fund. The Servant Fund provides modest financial support for living expenses of brethren sent as full time missionaries by HarvestCall. Contributions can be given to Bro. Jerry Wagenbach or placed in the special collection box under the bulletin board.

Jamaica was recently struck by Hurricane Melissa with some areas receiving significant damage. HarvestCall is currently assessing the situation to determine how best to respond. At this time there are no intentions to have a local collection for this disaster, however if you feel moved to donate to the Jamaica disaster, you can do so either directly to HarvestCall or you can give them to Bro. Ryan Frank and he will forward them for you. If you have not already signed up for HarvestCall emails, you can do so on their website at Harvestcall.org and you will receive updates on this and other situations as they arise. Hospital Lumiere’s annual benefit auction is approaching. Please consider attending this important effort to support the hospital. The dates are as follows:

Next Sunday evening is the quarterly potluck at the Fellowship Center at 5:00 with singing to follow at 7:00.

Everyone is invited to the wedding of Bro. Sam Lanz and Sis. Stella Moser on Sunday October 26th in Fairbury, IL. There will be a wedding singing the evening before at 7PM in the Fairbury Church Sanctuary. There is an invitation on the women’s bulletin board with more details and how to RSVP for those that plan on coming.

An additional note was read: Bro Connie Gerst went back to the hospital Tuesday. The infection from his last hospital stay was never completely gone and he became very sick. They removed a kidney stone which doctors felt was the source of his infection. He extends his greetings to the church and appreciates prayers during his recovery.

Brian Bulanek is going back to Iowa City to start another round of chemo on Friday. He also appreciates prayers.

The September collection is for HarvestCall local. These funds are used for local needs and are not sent to HarvestCall. Contributions can be given to Bro. Ryan Frank or placed in the special collection box.

The following advice has been given by HarvestCall regarding these collections.

When HarvestCall was formed, there was a concerted effort to clarify the difference between local church outreach and that which was “beyond the capacity of the local church.” It is understood that the local church is the means God has chosen to represent Christ in its community. With the purpose of HarvestCall being “beyond the capacity of the local church,” we continue to encourage churches to move away from utilizing the phrase “local HarvestCall.” An alternative such as “local church outreach” would be more descriptive and accurate. Similarly, consideration should be

given to separating financial collections accordingly.

A few years ago we separated the financial collection but have not gone away from the HarvestCall name for local activities. A new label/name for local activities and this collection will be considered in the near future. If you have input or suggestions visit with Bro. Ryan.

The annual paint-a-thon house painting project will be this Tuesday, September 2 starting at 9 am. The project will be held at 317 N. Patsy in Mediapolis.

A volunteer work night at the Fellowship Center project is planned for this Tuesday evening starting at 5:00. This will be mostly hanging sheetrock.

There is singing this Friday evening at Prairie Ridge care center at 6:30.

We are thankful for our convert Gideon Goodpaster. After experiencing repentance and conversion he feels at peace with God and man. We now have the opportunity as a church to bring encouragement or any concerns we may have, as he awaits baptism.

I shared earlier that we plan to take several consecutive Wednesday evenings to go through an entire book of the Bible. We will start going through Ephesians beginning Sept. 3.

I will be out of town on vacation from Wednesday through Saturday of this coming week.

The collection for ACCFS that was announced last Sunday was an error on my part. We already held a collection this year for ACCFS in February. There is no scheduled collection for the month of August. If you have already made a contribution and would like to cancel it you can contact Bro. Jerry to make those arrangements. I apologize for the confusion!

Thank you to each one that took the time to provide feedback on the handling of the Hymns of Worship at the Fellowship Center. After considering the comments we will be singing out of both the Combined Hymnal and Hymns of Worship for a half hour each for at least the first 6 months. Consideration will be given after 6 months to alternate books each singing for the next 6 months. The books have been purchased and we will plan to use them next Sunday evening.

Thank you for the prayers while we were at the conference, they were felt. We do not plan to set aside evenings to listen to the recordings together this year. I strongly encourage everyone to listen or watch the recordings on your own time. The recordings should be available on AC Central sometime next week.

The August collection is for ACCFS (Apostolic Christian Counseling and Family Services). Only 23% of the ACCFS operating expenses is met by billed services. This means they rely heavily on contributions to provide their services. As a congregation we are targeting around $20,000 for this collection. Contributions can be given to Bro. There will be another volunteer evening on the Fellowship Center project this Thursday from 5-9 pm.

A 5:00 supper at the Fellowship Center is planned this Saturday evening, March 22, for those that are involved and signed up for the Invite-a-Guest weekend . An all church singing will follow at 7:00 and everyone is welcome.

An update from the Fellowship Center building committee was given and is written below:

On behalf of the Fellowship Center Committee, I want to give a brief update on the project.

First, we are still on track to begin construction this spring for the building. Underground work has already begun and is progressing well.

Second, we would like to finalize selection of the brick and siding for the building so we can get these materials ordered. We will have a table set out near the men’s lounge after this announcement that will have a colored rendering of the exterior along with brick, siding color, and roofing samples. These are the colors the committee is proposing to go with for the project. We welcome input from the church on these choices.

We would like to finalize materials in the next few weeks. Any input received will be considered as a final decision is reached by the committee. Again, we appreciate everyone’s effort in keeping this a peaceful project.

Testimonies and Baptisms are scheduled for the weekend of April 12 - 13 for our converts Joel Stoller and Paige Steiner.

We previously announced that Mediapolis would be hosting the HarvestCall board meeting this April 25 & 26 . At this time we are beginning the planning process and would like to make known a couple of opportunities to help. We will be needing volunteers to help plan, prepare and serve them supper on Friday night, and Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper on Saturday. We will also need volunteers to keep overnight guests. At this time we have not heard how many plan to attend but could be around 20 individuals or couples totaling 30ish. We expect to have a number attending by the first of April. If you are able to help with this please talk to Bro. Ryan or Sis. Heidi Frank.

The Fellowship Center Trustees would also like to remind the congregation that there are now four thermostats, and to redeploy the fans and dehumidifiers during the summer months (April-October). There is a diagram on the kitchen bulletin board showing the location of the thermostats, fans, and dehumidifiers. Please refer to the diagram for any questions. The front door has a new type of lock that doesn't require a screwdriver to set. There are instructions in the entry way on how to operate these locks. Please do not force these hand operated devices.

Reminder, the back door code is 2 and 4 together, then 3.

A major wind and hail storm has caused the need for a new roof on the Apostolic Christian Retirement Village in Sabetha Kansas. The roof replacement project, “ Rooftop Revival ” will be patterned after the Harvest Call winter rebuilding ministry and is planned to start on May 25th. Additional information and a sign-up link is attached below.

The Woodhaven Retirement Community is the Apostolic Christian Church sponsored senior living facility in Livonia, MI. Its board of directors, with the support of the Executive Director, is looking for a successor for its long-time Executive Director. More details and contact information is attached below. The application deadline is April 26.

This Wednesday evening I plan to share an update from the elder forums. All are welcome to attend.

Greetings in the name of Jesus! Gateway Woods has a crucial need for houseparents. In 2024, the residential program at Gateway Woods received referrals for 595 young people who needed treatment. We were able to place 24 or 4% of those young people. We want to be able to serve more children and families, but we need people to come serve with us! This is a great opportunity for mission-minded couples of any age who are ready to live out their faith with young people, many of whom have never heard about Jesus. We believe our denomination supports the mission of Gateway Woods and that God is still leading people into his service. We would encourage couples/families to pray about this opportunity and to reach out with any questions. There is an information sheet posted on the bulletin board that includes contact information for people at Gateway Woods who can answer your questions. This is a full-time paid position with benefits in one of the most highly rated residential treatment facilities in Indiana.

The Sunday School Curriculum Committee , a part of Onward Media, has completed nearly 500 lessons in the last two years! This is a testimony of God's faithfulness and the hard work of many volunteers. Thank you to those who have contributed your time.

We plan to write the remaining 220 lessons by December 2025 and have the finished product ready afterward. To finish, we need additional authors and reviewers. We need brothers and sisters willing to spend 2-5 hours a week writing and reviewing lessons. For more information and how to volunteer please see the attachment below.

Opportunity to support financially : The board of the Rochester guesthouse is asking for financial support from regional churches (Iowa and Minnesota) for improvements to the home. The guesthouse’s purpose has been to “Provide home-like housing that is affordable and convenient and Christian fellowship to members and friends of the Apostolic Christian Church of America that are in the Rochester, MN area seeking medical treatment.” More information is attached here .

Special Collection for the Brotherhood Operations Fund:

As one might imagine, it requires substantial resources, both effort and funds, to operate our church brotherhood and to provide the support and services we as members desire and our leaders need. In 2019, the Elder Body set up the Brotherhood Operations Fund to cover these financial costs. We understand you may be unfamiliar with this fund because, until now, we have not emphasized it. The Brotherhood Operations Fund is the primary support for Onward Media (including AC Central), Elders Teaching Resource, and many national church / Elder Body expenses. It also pays for a portion of ACCFS services to support church leadership and the denomination. Please see the attachment here for full details on what this important fund covers. At this time, we are making a special effort to inform the entire brotherhood of this ongoing need so you can donate as the Spirit leads. May God richly bless you for your generous support of this necessary work which supports our church!

This month's collection is for the Servant Fund. The Servant Fund provides modest financial support for living expenses of brethren sent as full time missionaries by HarvestCall. Contributions can be given to Bro. Jerry Wagenbach or placed in the special collection box under the bulletin board.

Volunteers Needed: HarvestCall’s next large-scale Rebuilding Ministry project will be in Jasper Texas. In April 2024, Jasper and Newton Counties in east Texas experienced massive flooding followed by more heavy rainfall and hail in May. Then in July, Hurricane Beryl brought more rain and spawned a tornado that hit Jasper, causing even more damage. They are in need of our help to repair and rebuild their homes and lives. HarvestCall will be helping underserved people who suffered loss and are unable to recover on their own. While construction is the obvious activity of this ministry, the primary goal is to share the love of Christ and proclaim the Gospel.

-Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 12, 2025 and continuing through March 28, 2025. Please consider giving your time and talents to minister to those in need.

-Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share the Gospel with those we serve.

Item donations are needed for the Hospital Lumiere’s annual benefit auction. This year, there will be both an Virtual online Auction and an In-Person Auction. Auction items should be delivered to Gridley IL by Oct. 25. The annual Hospital Lumiere benefit auction is coming up and donations are welcomed. There will be an online auction Oct 31-Nov 2, followed by an in-person, live auction at The Water Tower in Gridley, IL, on Friday, Nov 8. This auction is a significant part of the funding needed to continue to operate the hospital. Bro. Nate Schock will be subbing in for Bro. Joel Steiner as the auction representative this year. Bro. Nate will take any donated items out to the auction as well as bring any items purchased at the auction back to Mediapolis. Donated items need to be to him no later than Oct. 20. Burlington Singing is this evening at 7:00

The single group will be gathering in the main assembly at 2:30 this afternoon for a ½ hour singing. Anyone else that would like to join is welcome. Burlington church has been invited also.

The next Wednesday evening topical presentation is scheduled for September 4 and will be titled, “Navigating as the New Testament Church in the 21st Century”. Start time will be 7:30 PM. All are invited to attend. The following topical is tentatively planned for December 4.

This Friday at 6:30 pm is singing at the Hospice House in Burlington. Bring Tabernacle hymn books.

Burlington church will hear testimonies this Saturday evening Sept 7th at 7:00.

Mediapolis church is slated to host the National HarvestCall board meeting April 25-26 2025. There will be around 24 board members plus some spouses that will need accommodations, meals, etc. We will be requesting help with this as the time gets closer, but for now, we just want to make everyone aware of this. More details will follow, but if anyone has questions feel free to reach out to either Bro. Ryan or Sis. Heidi Frank.

The June monthly Fellowship Center singing is next Sunday June 23rd, due to Father’s Day this weekend. We plan to begin singing at 6:30 instead of 7:00 because we are combining this singing with the single group invite-a-guest singing.

All brothers and sisters throughout the land are encouraged to attend the 2024 General Conference of the Apostolic Christian Church in Peoria on August 9. The theme is “For Such a Time as This.” It will be a wonderful day of worship, fellowship, and learning.

The Conference now has a new format. In addition to the normal pulpit messages and panel discussion, this year attendees can choose from a selection of breakout presentations and small-group discussions with leadership. And we’ll have more fellowship breaks and opportunities to praise God with singing.

In order to provide this new, customized conference experience, attendees must register online in advance at www.apostolicchristian.org/general-conference . There you can see a detailed agenda for the day with descriptions of all the sessions.

To ensure more people have the opportunity to attend, the registration deadline has been extended to July 12. Our prayer is that this modified conference format will facilitate a strengthening of our bonds of love to each other, to Jesus, and his Word.

The Apostolic Christian Church of America General Conference will be held in Peoria, Illinois on Friday, August 9, 2024. It will begin with singing at 8:00 AM and conclude around 3:30 PM. There will be a buffet dinner and fellowship in the church dining room from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 8th for anyone attending the Friday conference. Our Local Church Conference Contact is Brother Jerry Wagenbach, who will coordinate our church’s participation in the conference. An email will be distributed with a link to register for the conference by Friday, June 28th. If you cannot attend in person, a live stream of the Friday General Conference will be available. We will once again be sending funds to buy items for the auction versus sending donated items. The clothes sorting at Kalona that was rescheduled for this Friday has been rescheduled again. Monday evening from 6-9 is the new time. Feel free to come and go as it works for you - as we know it's a school night. All help is appreciated! A snack is served.

We are preparing for the annual VBS to be held this year the week of June 10-14th at the Fellowship Center. We will need volunteers to teach and bring cookies. You will find the sign-up sheets posted on the women’s bulletin board. If any questions please contact Bro. Roger or Sis. Rhonda Reker.

The Minneapolis church is beginning a remodel of their lower level where their Sunday school and fellowship center are, and has requested volunteer help from the regional churches including Mediapolis. The project consists of reframing the exterior walls to address water issues which will require redoing much of the Sunday school area, remodeling bathrooms to meet code, remodeling the kitchen, and replacing interior doors to meet fire code. Plumbing and electrical will be hired to meet state requirements, but opportunities to help with demolition, framing, drywall, painting, flooring, and finish work will be made available as the project progresses. The first opportunities are April 20 for demolition and May 9-11 for some framing work. After that they will be waiting on subcontractors before the next opportunity is available. Everyone is welcome to attend the wedding of Bro. Justin Massner and Sis. Darci Wettstein on Sunday, March 3rd at the Apostolic Church in Eureka, IL. There is an invitation on the main bulletin board and the bulletin board next to the women’s lounge with wedding information and where to RSVP if you plan to attend. There is also a singing Saturday evening, March 2nd, at 7:00 pm at the Eureka, IL church. Everyone is welcome to attend both the singing and wedding service. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Bro. Justin or Sis. Lois.

Holy communion is scheduled for Saturday March 23rd at 7:30. Bro. Kevin Ryan from Castleton, VT plans to be here for the weekend. I plan to use the afternoon service next Sunday as a communion exhortation.

I plan to be out of the country Monday afternoon through Saturday evening of this coming week. My phone will not be active but I will have limited access to email. In case of an emergency Tami’s phone should work. Please contact one of the ministers for time sensitive needs while I am gone.

HarvestCall Sewing that was scheduled for this Tuesday has been rescheduled to February 20th.

The Ames church service that was scheduled for March 3rd has been canceled.

A 5:00 supper at the Fellowship Center is planned this Saturday evening for those that are involved and signed up for the Invite-a-Guest weekend. An all church singing will follow at 6:30 and everyone is welcome. (note this is a half hour earlier than listed on the calendar.)

I plan to give an update from the elder forums this coming Wednesday evening following a shortened service. All are welcome.

This Friday Feb. 2nd is singing at Prairie Ridge in Mediapolis. Start time is 6:30. Tabernacle hymn books will be used. As a reminder, one of the Mediapolis or Burlington ministers will be having a short devotion and prayer before the “first Friday” singings each month.

There are replacement copies of our missionary booklets on the counter by the main bulletin board in the fellowship area. If you have signed up to receive these in the past, feel free to take one. If you haven’t signed up in the past and are interested in a booklet, let Bro. Ryan Frank know.

The wedding shower scheduled for tomorrow evening at the Fellowship Center has been moved to the church because of possible poor gravel road conditions. SHOWER HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL THURSDAY, JANUARY 25 @ 6PM (AS OF 1/22).

The Wapello mobile food pantry is scheduled for this Wednesday. Exact time to be announced.

Our annual business meeting will be held Sunday, January 28th at 2:00 pm. Anyone having business which should come before this meeting should contact Bros. Dave Lanz or Kyle Wagenbach by today. We would like to make known the engagement of Sis. Allison Kuntz to Bro. Nathan Currier from Congerville, IL. Nathan’s parents are Bro. Tim and Sis. Diana. We wish them God's rich blessing as they anticipate marriage.

A few women’s Bible study groups have been meeting together for over 10 years. The ages of those participating are in their 20s-40s. The purpose of the women’s Bible study is to encourage one another in Christ, and to grow closer to each other and to God. Those currently in the groups would like to extend an opportunity for all women in the church, of all ages and in all seasons of life to participate. This would allow the groups to consist of a mix of younger, middle-aged, and older women. Typically, the groups meet monthly and the studies last approximately one year. After completing a study, the groups are mixed up again for the next study. Before proceeding or making detailed plans we would like to gauge interest and get feedback to guide the process. In order to do this, a survey link will be sent via email https://forms.gle/FDiwzBhwX1g3K9tZ9 and paper copies will be available by the bulletin board for those who don’t have email. All feedback is welcomed and encouraged from both those who are and are not interested in participating. Please have your surveys completed or given/mailed to brothers Dave or Mark by February 5th.

One clarification because of a question I received after church. This survey is intended to be sent in by women only. Those married would definitely be encouraged to discuss with their husband.

Tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. will be our Christmas service. There will be no Wednesday evening service this week.

Next Sunday we will use the afternoon service for the New Year’s Eve service. We will not have a service on Sunday evening.

The 2024 Fellowship Center Committee list has been completed. There are copies on the main bulletin board. An electronic copy will also be sent via email.

The 2024 All Church Invite-A-Guest Weekend has been set for February 17 &18. Group 1 will be the working group and group 2 will be the inviting group. A list has been posted on the bulletin board for those who want to be added to or removed from the groups. Please indicate any changes by January 14th. Please see Sisters Charlene Wagenbach, Tonya Lanz or Nola Gerst with any questions. More details will follow at a later date.

The Fellowship Center Research Committee gave an update. Because of the amount pledged the committee believes the financial support for the project is sufficient to consider construction. Ballots will be mailed in the near future to determine if there is support to build a new Fellowship Center in Mediapolis.

Bro. Colin and Sis. Barb Wagenbach will be leaving for Louisiana this week to serve as long term volunteers on the HarvestCall winter work project for the next several months. This Wednesday Dec 13th at 11:30am there will be a volunteer opportunity at the Mobile Food Pantry in Wapello at the Briggs Center. This is not listed on the calendar, and we do not usually do one in December, but are going to try it this year since the need is so great.

Those going caroling should meet at the Fellowship Center at 3:45pm. For those not caroling, but would like to come for supper, please be there at 6:30pm.

The jail/halfway house ministry has opened a new checking account to be used primarily for meals for halfway house bi-monthly sessions. Each session incorporates a meal for the participants, most of whom express sincere appreciation for the food we provide. This account is under the umbrella of HarvestCall, so any donation would be tax-deductible. If anyone would be interested in donating to this account, please give donations to Bro. Volunteers Needed for Disaster Rebuilding in USA:

HarvestCall’s next large-scale winter rebuilding ministry will be in Jennings, Louisiana.

On October 9th, 2020, Hurricane Delta made landfall on Louisiana’s Gulf coast as a Category 2 storm with maximum sustained winds of 100 mph. This occurred just six weeks after Hurricane Laura – a larger, much stronger storm impacted the same area. With recovery still underway from the earlier storm, many structures had temporary tarping which was easily ripped off creating even greater damage

to these exposed structures. Additionally, this came near the height of the COVID pandemic, greatly reducing the number of volunteers who came to help out. Now, a little more than three years later, many are still in need of our help to repair and rebuild their homes and lives. Homes will be re-roofed and repaired for underserved people who suffered loss and are unable to recover on their own.

While construction is the obvious activity of this ministry, the primary goal is to share the love of Christ and proclaim the Gospel.

• Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 7, 2024, and continuing through March 22, 2024. Please consider giving your time and talents to minister to those in need.

• Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share the Gospel with those we serve.

• Serving from a posture of humility is of utmost importance.

• Online registration is required for all team members and opens at noon Central time on Wednesday, November 15th at www.harvestcall.org

The Mediapolis Apostolic Christian Church website has been created and is now operational. It can be accessed at mediapolisacchurch.org . An email went out this week giving the password for portions of the site that are meant only for those who attend our congregation. If you did not receive this email and would like to, please contact Sis. Patty Steiner or Bro. Johnny Massner to be added to the list to receive this password and password changes in the future. The annual Bentonsport supper and singing is this evening. Supper is at 5:00 at the Bonaparte School. Each person is asked to bring their own sandwich. Potato chips, tossed salad, fruit, cookies, bottled water, and paper goods will be provided. 7:00 singing will follow at the Historic Presbyterian Church.

This Sat Sept 23, Sis. Brittney Lanz will be giving a presentation at the Fellowship Center on CVE in Magdalena, Mexico. Start time is 7:30. All are welcome.

Item donations are needed for the Hospital Lumiere benefit auction. This year there will be an online auction and an in-person auction. The online auction will be held Nov. 2-4, and the in person auction will be hosted by the Gridley church on Nov. 10 at The Water Tower event center in Gridley, IL. HarvestCall sewing is this Tuesday 10:00 am at the church

This Wednesday evening will be a shortened service followed by the Fellowship Center Research Committee presenting facility and site plan proposals for a new building to the church. This will include an opportunity for all to review the plans and ask questions in the lunchroom after they are presented.

The annual Bentonsport supper and singing is next Sunday. A 5:00 supper at the Bonaparte School and 7:00 singing at the Historic Presbyterian Church in Bentonsport is planned. If you plan to attend and have not contacted Bro. Eric Wuthrich, please let him know today.

The fall memorandum for Mediapolis and Burlington churches is scheduled for November 4th, 7:00pm at the Mediapolis Church. Bro. Curt Frank from LaCrosse, IN plans to be with us to help.

Paint-A-Thon Is this Tuesday, September 5 starting at 9 AM. We will work until done or on the following days if necessary. lunch will be provided. The home being painted is Joan Gerst’s at 816 Valley St. in Mediapolis. contact Ryan or Heidi if you have any ququestions.

I plan to give a short conference update next Sunday after the afternoon service.

Looking ahead: We plan to use the Saturday evening of November 4th to read the fall memorandum this year. More details will follow, but I want to get the date on the calendar.

On the evening of Saturday September 23rd, 7:30 at the Fellowship Center, Sis. Brittney Lanz will be sharing what she is doing in Mexico. All are invited.

We want to welcome Sis. Leann Schambach as she moves here from the Elgin, IL congregation. May God grant His grace and peace as she experiences this transition.

Bro. Aaron Schmidgall shared an update from the Fellowship Center Research Committee. On September 13th, after an abbreviated Wednesday evening service they plan to present facility and site plan proposals to the church and give the opportunity for all to review them in the lunchroom.
